“Bringing you to your more – for the greater glory of God.”
Here is what Wikipedia tells us about “Magis”:
Magis (pronounced "màh-gis") is a Latin word that means "more" or "better." It is related to Ad majorem Dei gloriam, a Latin phrase meaning "for the greater glory of God." Magis refers to the philosophy of doing more, for Christ, and therefore doing more for others.
That rather defines the goal of Magis Women, “Bringing you to your more – for the greater glory of God.”
Magis Women (previously – Women’s Christian Fellowship Arizona) began meeting in Gilbert, Arizona in 2002. What first started as a small bible study meeting in Kay’s home has blossomed into a diverse group of dynamic Catholic women who practice living out their faith through prayer and praise, study of the Word, and loving fellowship.
In addition to facilitating many bible studies throughout the years, we’ve written and facilitated women’s retreats, leadership retreats, healing days, facilitator training sessions, team building workshops, seder meals and ladies luncheons. Our targeted events have featured national speakers from both Catholic and secular arenas.
Our retreat team works hard to ensure that all of our retreats offer love, hospitality, and an amazing, life-changing experience to all attendees.
